At Little Orbit, we aim to give players the ability to buy, sell, and trade in-game items between each other using what we call our Web 2.5 Strategy: We allow players to go deep with their favorite characters and items in our games like they would with any free-to-play system, using in-game purchases to buy and customize their favorites. Behind the scenes, however, we’ve added a blockchain back-end that securely manages player’s ability to buy, sell, and trade items with each other. The only time they would ever need to engage with the blockchain directly is when they want to “cash out” items from their collections.
No longer do unused digital items have to languish in players’ collections. No longer do content creators have to miss out on monetizing their unique in-game creations. Our products feels just like any free-to-play game players are used to – except with true game asset ownership and a decision on how to use those assets.
